What began in 1988 as a trading company in the Korea World Trade Center, Seoul, is today a vertically integrated safety and engineering group serving customers across four continents.

Built step by step, factory by factory
Salus grew the way we advise our customers to grow: by mastering one process at a time. Trading gave us market knowledge. Knitting gave us capacity. Coating gave us quality leadership. Engineering made us self-sufficient — and turned our know-how into a product of its own.

1988
Hanyang Enterprise founded
Established as a trading company in the Korea World Trade Center, Seoul, dealing in textiles, plastics machinery and parts.
2001
Knitting factory established
A dedicated knitting plant opens with 100 SHIMA SEIKI machines, exporting gloves to Europe, the USA, Canada, Japan and the U.A.E.
2005
Coating technology breakthrough
Successful in-house development of advanced glove-coating technology — the foundation of today's engineering division.
2014
SALUS SAFETY INC is born
New wing-type coating machines minimise defects; the company is renamed SALUS SAFETY INC and capacity rises to 1.2 million pairs per month.
2020
Respiratory protection line
Face mask machinery is engineered in-house and KF94 / KF80 mask production begins, with FDA certification application filed.
Today

Cleaner chemistry, longer leaching, less waste
Our wing-type coating lines use 70–80 metre leaching tanks that remove residual DMF far more effectively than conventional plants — better for workers, wearers and the environment. Silicone-free PU chemistry, water-based pigments for NBR and latex, and defect-minimising process design reduce waste at every stage.
